Rubber Fab sanitary Tri-Clamp® Type I gaskets are used widely in the food, dairy, and beverage industries to seal clamp connections in sanitary pipe lines. PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) gaskets, commonly referred to as Teflon™, work best in harsh chemical applications because of its low moisture absorption and wide temperature range (-100°F to 500°F). They are commonly used when low temperature flexibility or gasket memory is not required and can remain in service for longer periods of time in both water and steam applications. PTFE has excellent resistance to the following process fluids: brake fluids, hydraulic fluids, ketones, petroleum oils, silicone fluids, and transmission fluids. Colors available: blue, white.
